Web Design

Did you know?

Judging a business by its cover…

“75% of web users admit making judgments about the credibility of an organization based on the design of its web site.” – Source: Fogg, B.J., Stanford Guidelines for Web Credibility. Persuasive Technology Lab. Stanford University

How Your New Website Gets Built

A Simple Process Without the Runaround

01 — Discovery & Custom Planning

We start by talking about your business.

I’ll learn what you do, who you’re trying to reach, what makes you different, and what you want your website to accomplish.

We’ll also look at your current website and competitors when appropriate.

The result: A website plan built around your business—not a generic template.

02 — Rapid Design & Development

Once we know what we’re building, I get to work.

Your website is designed around your branding, content, customers, and goals.

I’ll keep the project moving and communicate with you throughout the process.

The result: A professional website without the months-long agency timeline.

03 — SEO Optimization & Launch

Before the website goes live, I’ll make sure the important pieces are in place for search engines and your visitors.

We’ll review the site, make final adjustments, and get it launched.

The result: A website that’s ready for customers and built with search engines in mind.

04 — Ongoing Support

The relationship doesn’t end when I push the launch button.

Frequently Asked Questions

How Fast Can My Website Be Completed?

The exact timeline depends on the size of your website, how much content is needed, and how quickly information and approvals are provided.

For many small-business websites, the goal is to have the project completed in weeks rather than months.

I’ll give you a realistic timeline when I provide your quote.

How Much Does a Website Cost?

Every business is different, so I don’t believe in forcing every customer into the same package.

The price depends on the number of pages, functionality, content requirements, and other features your website needs.

You’ll receive a clear quote before work begins.

If you’re working with a specific budget, tell me. We can discuss what makes the most sense for your business.

Are There Hidden Fees?

No surprises.

I’ll explain what is included in your project and what additional services may cost before you commit.

If something falls outside the original scope of the project, we’ll discuss it with you first.

Will My Website Work on Phones?

Yes.

Your website will be designed to work across desktops, tablets, and smartphones.

That’s important because your customers aren’t all sitting at a desk when they’re looking for your business.

Will My Website Be Search Engine Friendly?

Yes.

Search engine considerations are built into the website from the beginning rather than treated as an expensive add-on after the website is finished.

Keep in mind that having an SEO-friendly website doesn’t guarantee a particular Google ranking. Search rankings depend on many factors.

If you want ongoing SEO, that’s something we can discuss as well.

Will I Be Able to Update My Website?

Yes, depending on the website platform and setup.

I’ll also be available if you’d rather have me make updates for you.

You don’t have to become a web designer just to keep your website current.

Do You Work With Businesses Outside of the U.P.?

Yes.

While I specialize in helping businesses in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, I also work with businesses outside the area.

For local U.P. businesses, I can meet in person when practical, which gives you another option that many online-only web design companies can’t provide.
